The module uses a 4-way pin connector (GND / RXD / TXD / VCC) to interface with the microcontroller and another DB9 connector to connect to the RS232 device.

The MAX3232 allows communication speeds up to 250 kbit / s and has flexible power supply from 3.0 to 5.5V.
