What is TSL256?

  • It is an integrating sensor, it absorbs light for a predetermined period of time.
  • It is able to measure small and large amounts of light alternating the integration time.
  • Connect the TSL2561 directly to the I2C and it is able to drive a margin of light-pixels from 0.1 ~ 40k + Lux easily.
  • In addition, the TSL12561 contains the integrated analog-to-digital (ADC) converters that integrate the diode photo fixes simultaneously.
  • Requires a supply voltage of 3 V and a low supply current of 0.6 mA maximum.
